Canton-Potsdam Hospital's Inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation is has 17 beds and with a medically monitored 24-hour setting. Their program includes pet therapy: patients with allergies, asthma triggered by pet dander, or phobias should probably select another program. For everyone's health, effective, July 1, 2008, CPH has become a tobacco-free facility. Depending on your individual medical needs, your structured program may include group and individual counseling; family counseling and education; trauma group therapy; occupational and recreational therapy; aftercare planning; self-help meetings; health education; smoking/tobacco quit help; gambling addiction assessment and counseling; and pet therapy. Referrals can be accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admissions are scheduled Monday through Friday ideally between 8:00 a.m. and noon.

North Country Freedom Homes (NCFH) Community Residential Service (CRS) builds upon the work done during inpatient treatment. Providing a safe, supportive atmosphere to continue and guide the work started in inpatient treatment is what NCFH does. They believe that the more work that is done during this period also increases the chance of long term recovery and improvement in the individual. Open 24/7.

Offers intensive case management, assessment, individual and group counseling addressing Early Recovery Skills, Recovery Issues, Relapse Prevention, Continuing Care and Co-Dependency. We also offer assessment, and individual and group counseling for Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Referrals for services based on clientsÕ needs to Medical Services, Mental Health/Psychiatric Services, Career/Employment/Educational, Financial Counseling, Legal Services, and Self Help & Recovery Groups are also available through the clinics.

Our clinics provide group, individual, and family counseling services as well as Medication Assisted Treatment. Crisis walk-in appointments are available at all sites from 8am-3pm, however scheduled appointments are preferred. All insurances are accepted and a sliding fee scale is available if needed.
